Tempest's Landing was an abandoned waystation revitalized by The Tempest Brothers Expeditionary Company after the company was given stewardship of the waystation by Xender City.
About[edit | edit source]
The waystation resides smack dab in the middle of the Xender Pleth wilds. After its initial construction, it was abandoned due to the dangers that came with the Amusan wilds. Another attempt was later made to rebuild the waystation, only for this attempt to be swiftly abandoned. Afterwards the land the waystation stood on fell into the ownership of the Xender City government who let it rest for many years.
In 894 PR Xender City reached out to the Tempest Brothers Expeditionary Company and offered them control of the waystation along with a large sum of gold in return for the company maintaining it for passing travelers and merchants.
The waystation has five main roads passing through it. This include roads leading to Xender City, Ymbtrymman, Troverth, Luggland, and Sotchala.
The waystation initially consisted of a center gathering hall, multiple barracks and store houses, an arcane forge, stables, an inn, and houses for company members and waystation travelers. Later Tempest's Landing would grow from a small collection of buildings into almost what could be considered a town, with numerous halls, shops, guildhalls, and more.
After the discovery of The Lost Hoard in 895 PR, Tempest Landing became a home to many scholars and explorers who sought to study what remained of the ship, starting a small research foundation in the town. At the same time, a conclave of rangers formed who hoped to protect what remained of the wilds as civilization continued to expand further and as more was discovered.
