Dragoose
The Honk of Doom
Creature Type: Dragon
Size: Huge
Alignment: Chaotic Evil

Dragoose are the terrifying fusion of dragons and goose, a towering feathered abomination whose bloodstained beak and razor fangs bring ruin wherever it roams. So malicious that even other dragons shun it, it rules over flocks of ordinary geese and makes its lairs in misty lakes or desolate mountains. Fear the honk of the Dragoose and pray for a quick death.

Physical Appearance

The Dragoose looks like some cruel god tried to stitch a goose and a dragon together, and then let the mistake live. Its body is cloaked in pale feathers streaked with soot-gray, but along its back and wings jagged scales push through, catching the light with a sickly gleam. Its long neck sways like a serpent’s, ending in a goose’s black beak stretched wide to reveal rows of knife-like teeth. The wings are vast, beating storms into the air when it takes flight. Its feet are no less unsettling, webbed like a goose but tipped with black talons that gouge the earth.

Personality

The Dragoose is a creature of pure malice, driven by spite and cruelty in equal measure. Like its lesser kin, it delights in tormenting those who cross its path, but where an ordinary goose might chase and harass, the Dragoose hunts and destroys. It is vindictive to the core, never forgetting a slight and returning with beak, claw, and honk to exact a punishment far out of proportion to the offense. Villages razed, fields trampled, and survivors left broken are not accidents of hunger but deliberate acts of cruelty, carried out with a twisted glee. Even the great goddess Tiamat winces at the cruelty of the Dragoose. HONK!

Lair

Dragoose, these abominations of nature, make their homes in the most desolate and secluded of places, often found nestled within mist-shrouded lakes hidden deep within dense forests or atop forbidding mountains. Surrounding these accursed dens are flocks of ordinary geese, drawn by some primal instinct to flock to the Dragoose, instinctively recognizing it as their alpha. Bones and remains litter the landscape, serving as grisly trophies of past conquests.

Ever since the emergence of the first Drageese during the War of Many Names, geese around the realm have had their cruelty turned up to 11.

Dragons

Despite their horrifying power, Dragooses are shunned even by their draconic kin. Neither the evil Dragon Queen Tiamat, nor the Platinum King Bahamut, claim responsibility for the creation of these monstrous beings. They are seen as an aberration, an affront to the natural order, and are hunted relentlessly by those who seek to rid the world of their foul presence.

During the War of Many Names, villages tormented by a Dragoose would go as far to prostrate themselves before an evil Chromatic Dragon if it meant salvation from the goose of doom.
