Aloysius Tempest was a famous explorer and adventurer, and was the grandfather of Adrian and Darian Tempest, who would go on to found [[The Tempest Brothers Expeditionary Company.

Aloysius Tempest was one of the finale villains of the Quelmar Community Campaign, Within the Wicked Wilds.

Physical Appearance

Aloysius Tempest appeared as a old man with long grey hair wearing tattered adventurers cloths, Their skin pulsed unnaturally and their eyes glowed a deep purple.

Personality

After decades of being trapped within the lost Mind Flayer ship beneath Wyvern's Roost and with The Overmind wearing away at his sanity, Aloysius Tempest went insane. They would madly cackle and ramble, speaking with their own voice and the voices of the Overmind. Now and again they would regain clarity and try to warn those around them to run and flee for their saftey.

History

Aloysius Tempest was once a member of a famous adventurer alongside the ranger Harrow Grimfold. They would undertake the mission of slaying the two-headed dragon Kavanmort, managing at one point removing one of its hearts. Along with Kavanmort, the party discovered the abandoned Mind Flayer ship beneath Wyvern's Roost, which Kavanmort planned to use to expand his conquest and destruction. Knowing there was no other way to defeat Kavanmort, Aloysius broke up the ships navigational system, a puzzle box known as The Aestorian Codex, and managed to fuse his mind with the ship's dormant intelligence, the Overmind. Now with control of the ship, Aloysius trapped Kavanmort in stasis within the ship, but at the same time sealed himself within the ship to protect the world from what they had become.

Over the next few decades, Aloysius would continue to trap anything that entered the ship and was driven insane by the Overmind. When members of the Tempest Brothers Expeditionary Company entered the ship, Aloysius attempted to trap them as well.

After the rogue Mind Flayer Myxlixinal reactivated the ship, Aloysius continued to try and kill all the intruders. During the battle, the ship was destroyed along with the Overmind, and Aloysius' spirit was free to pass into the next life.

Powers and Abilities

While merged with the Overmind, Aloysius was able to control all of the ship's systems and possessed immense psychic abilities. They also possessed the ability to copy and replicate the spells and abilities they say in combat.
