Aloysius Tempest was once a member of a famous adventurer alongside the ranger [[Harrow Grimfold]]. They would undertake the mission of slaying the two-headed [[dragon]] [[Kavanmort]], managing at one point removing one of its hearts. Along with Kavanmort, the party discovered the abandoned Mind Flayer ship beneath Wyvern's Roost, which Kavanmort planned to use to expand his conquest and destruction. Knowing there was no other way to defeat Kavanmort, Aloysius broke up the ships navigational system, a puzzle box known as [[The Aestorian Codex]], and managed to fuse his mind with the ship's dormant intelligence, the Overmind. Now with control of the ship, Aloysius trapped Kavanmort in stasis within the ship, but at the same time sealed himself within the ship to protect the world from what they had become. |
