			The Aestorian Codex was part of the Mind Flayer ship that crashed in [[Amusa]] and created [[Wyvern's Roost]]. In 822 PR, the hero [[Aloysius Tempest broke it up into four pieces in hopes of sealing away the ship. One of these pieces he gave to his sister [[Minerva Tempest]], and another he gave to his son, who passed it down to their sons, [[Adrian Tempest]] and [[Darian Tempest]].
	What does the item do

			In 894 PR the hunt for the legendary treasure of the Lost Hoard led many to seek out the pieces. This included the Pit Fiend [[Kalzivach]] who conscripted the phantom thief [[Dorian Shroud]] to hunt down the pieces. Eventually the heroes of [[The Tempest Brothers Expeditionary Company]] would recover all the pieces and use to codex to find [[The Lost Hoard]], which in reality was the Mind Flayer ship. The ship would become active again when the codex was inserted into the ship's control console.
