He was half-drowned in the strong drink but he had been passionate in his response.

			"Revenge is for the livin'!," he had practically yelled at her, spraying mead across the table where they were slumped. They were both well on the way to piss-drunk although it had only taken Dragonett a single mug while Finnan was on his fourth. "Ain't no sense in swearin' revenge t'ae the dead. They don' feel it."

			"But I owe it to them to avenge their death."

			He burped. "Ye don' owe them nothin' girly. Ye've already paid 'em back jus' by livin'. Tha's all they would have ever wanted from ye, not spendin' yer life and energy chasin' down some murderin' fools."

			"But I'd never forgive myself," she replied. "They have to die."

			"Then that's all on ye, girly," he replied, holding up a wavering finger to order another round. "If ye want to kill 'em, then have at it, but don' pretend it's got a thin' to do with yer folks."

			Dragonett continued wandering through the streets of her old neighborhood of Galik as the evening settled over the city. ''So what now, girly? Do you spend the rest of your days hunting down The Last One...or do you do what mom and dad would have wanted and get on with your life and let the gods take care of justice?'' She found herself at a temple to Tymora. The telltale fountain just outside gurgled in the quiet of the evening. She took out a coin and held it in her hand. "Let's let the goddess decide," she said to no one. Dragonett flipped it and it spun in the air, catching the light from the setting sun before it fell and disappeared with a 'plip' into the water.

			With a sigh, she found her bearings and headed back toward the Tempest Brothers Company. ''There are greater problems in the world that could use a nice flaming arrow to solve.''

			Dragonett spent the next ten months working for the company, exploring the interior of the continent, growing stronger, and working to uncover and defeat a plot of corruption and decay that infested the wilds. Still, Dragonett was haunted by her unfinished business. Once the camp had been destroyed and the company was forced to retreat to Galik, she took some time off from company business to try to track down the remaining six who had eluded her for so long. Using newfound contacts among her compatriots, she was able to find additional leads that she hoped could gain her the revenge that she felt she owed her parents.

			Two months and several dead ends later, Dragonett returned to the company with five more names crossed off her arms. Her fantasies of exacting revenge on those who had wronged her family were crushed by the reality that she discovered. Two, the Rat and the Bugbear, had been hanged by the authorities after being caught in a bungled attempt at robbery that had become a scene of murder. Their bodies had been tossed in a mass grave outside of the prison. Two more, Midnight and the Ghost, were murdered in their sleep. Their unique skin tones helped Dragonett confirm their identities from the inkeeper who had found their cold bodies the following day. They also lay in an unmarked grave in a nameless outskirt of Galik proper. The final person that she was able to find was the one she remembered as Royal Highness. She found him lying in a flophouse, dying from disease and in wracking pain. He was penniless and hadn't been thrown out on the street due to the proclaimed mercy of the innkeeper. Dragonett was able to also discover that the houselady was actually significantly concerned that she could possibly catch the disease from touching the man.
