A witness reported to the Parks Service hotline that she saw several figures entering and exiting the mine building (she was not pressed as to why she and her friend were in the park after midnight, though no foul play is suspected). While the figures were inside the mine building, she reports that she saw "bright flashes of light, like electrical arcs" and heard "shrieks and moans that didn't sound human" from within, possibly amplified in the latter case by the acoustics of the mine shaft.''
