The Saga of Galidant is the collection of the Tempest Brother Expeditionary Company's encounters with the vampire Galidant and his vampiric spawn after they accidentally freed him from ancient ruins and their attempt to turn the druid Tryska Bjorndottyr into a vampire as well. This story was part of the larger saga, The Saga of Kavanmort.
Summery[edit | edit source]
While exploring a lost temple of the two-headed dragon Kavanmort in the western Amusan wilds, members of the Tempest Brothers Expeditionary Company discovered a sealed coffin in its deepest depths. Opening it, they discovered a white dragonborn vampire who had been trapped in the coffin. The vampire introduced himself as Galidant, the Exarch of Kavanmort and as the twin dragon's most loyal follower. As thanks for freeing him, Galidant showed mercy to the party, letting them depart in peace. Galidant emerged in a world where his master was said to have been slain, but refused to believe that Kavanmort could be bested. To help in his search of the wilds, Galidant turned a number of dinosaurs into his vampiric thralls.
Galidant would continue his search in Eastern Amusa and began to scavenge what knowledge he could from Kavanmort's lost temples. For assistance in his search, for a time he temporarily assisted the Pit Fiend Kalzivach in summoning devils to the material plane. Two of his vampiric dinosaurs would run afoul of the druid Tryska Bjorndottyr, with one managing to get a bite in on their arm. For many nights after, Galidant would visit Tryska in her dreams and attempt to convince her to give into his vampiric influence.
Galidant would eventually track his master down to Wyvern's Roost and managed to infiltrate the Mind Flayer ship that was buried beneath it, only to get trapped in stasis. Galidant was freed alongside his master Kavanmort when the Mind Flayer Myxlixinal took over the ship. But soon after beholding his master again for the first time in decades, he was slain by Tryska Bjorndottyr who managed to resist his vampiric charms.
