Fivefold Financial Trust is a realm-spanning banking organization with branches in almost every major town and city in Quelmar. Their clients range from some of the most wealthy and influential people in the realm to your everyday citizens, and on the surface appear to be a safe and trustworthy organization. But underneath it all, the bank is a front for the Cult of the Dragon and Tiamat to amass wealth, and then use that wealth to destabilize the realm of mortals during the War of Many Names.

Fivefold Financial Trust is the wealthy front for the Cult of the Drago and the dragon goddess Tiamat. Many of the banks employees are dragon cultists themselves, and the bank is also used as a covert way to recruit new members into the cult. Most of the bank's operations are that of your typical bank, managing accounts, giving out loans, and investing bank capital. But all these operations are twisted to Tiamat's aims. Most of the wealth amassed by the bank is funneled right into the hoard of Tiamat and many of its loan contracts are full of draconian legalize that allows the bank to seize the property of its less fortunate clients. The bank has also made sure to rub shoulders with the most powerful and influential people in all of Quelmar, making sure these people always have enough coin in their pockets to ignore the troubles of the world caused by dragons.
To maintain is secrecy and influence, Fivefold Financial Trust also works through a number of corporate acquisitions and shell companies, including other financial firms, weapons manufacturers, arcane research laboratories, and even a few courier services.
While most of the bank's employees are made up of dragon cultists, or soon-to-be dragon cultists, many of its higher ups include powerful dragons looking to expand their own hoards.

Fivefold Financial Trust was founded in 796 PR, when the dragon goddess Tiamat devoured the CEO and board of directors for both Granite & Gold Holdings and well as the Horizon Mercantile Bank. After replacing their corporate leadership with her own minions including dragon cultists and disguised dragons, both banks were merged into Fivefold Financial Trust. Infusing the bank with gold from her own hoard, Tiamat was able to expand the bank to a realm-wide organization.
Realm War II[edit | edit source]
During the second Realm War, Fivefold Financial Trust revealed much of its hand when it spread out its vast resources to fund the many war efforts across Quelmar and to make sure these wars continued on for decades. Whenever a city, guild, or nation were thinking of pulling out of the war, the bank would offer them high value low interest loans to keep their war machines funded and running. As the war came to a close though, many became suspicious of the banks motives, given that they were helping all sides and were so keen on seeing the war continue.
