At the University’s founding, Illusionist mages found one of the easiest ways to teach their pupils the fundamental principles of illusionist magic was through the principles of composition and visual design inherent to the visual arts. Accordingly, the department’s curriculum became a haven for visual artists and sculpture-makers alike. While the established curriculum of the College places great emphasis on the fundamentals of drawing and perspective, as well as constructing works with a near-lifelike verisimilitude, there are opportunities for students with more abstract inclinations to succeed as well.

Traditions Among Majors[edit | edit source]
Using illusion magic to attempt to sneak into the local high-end restaurant, The Gnoshery, and failing miserably. Members of the senior class also arrange gallery showings of the work they created during their degree. Most occur on campus, but the more upscale of these show in the Seacliff Gallery, while the more “indie” presentations show at the Wharfside Gallery on the mainland.
